This year was the 11th year that the infamous Triple-S Kiteboarding Wakestyle contest has been hosted on the outer banks in Waves, North Carolina. This year we got a house before and after the event to get down to the business of developing the 2017 north Kiteboarding Wake style equipment in the Real Watersports Kite Park.

A few month ago I was given the opportunity to test out some of Philips's latest high tech gadgets, the PicoPix portable projector. During a Ripslix shoot out in Fuerte, we put these projectors through their paces, testing them to the extreme and using them in as many different locations as possible.

Its always a hard decision how to start a new year, however if you have ever been to Cape Town in January or February, then that decision is made considerably easier! Flying out to test some of the new NKB kites and to hook up with the team, we spend about six weeks on the Cape in total.

Each year the Kiteboarding scene heads to Cape Town in South Africa to take advantage of the steady cape doctor, soothing those european winter ailments. Cape Town is not just an incredible destination for Kitesurfing but it offers so much travel, lifestyle and scenery that makes it one of the best destinations there is!
